Textile World Record, American Record, & Personal Bests for Jessica at Duel in the Pool

Jessica won the 100 breaststroke at the 2011 Mutual of Omaha Duel in the Pool, setting the fastest swim the world has ever seen in a non-rubber swimsuit. She clocked a 1:03.33, upsetting the current World Champion & teammate Rebecca Soni for the win.

A few events later, Jessica swam to an American Record in the 4×100 freestyle relay with American teammates, Natalie Coughlin, Dana Vollmer & Missy Franklin. The team swam a time of 3:28.46.

Jessica also swam a new personal best in the 100 freestyle 52.55, ranking her 7th in the world for 2011. As well as a very solid 50 freestyle, finishing as the top American in the meet as well as for the entire year, with a 24.18.

This was Jessica’s last competition for the 2011 calendar year. She travels straight to Hawaii for a training trip, to begin preparations for a very exciting 2012. As we transition to the Olympic Year, Jessica would like to send a big thanks to you, her loyal supporters, for making all the difference as she prepares!
